Coyote Clouser (3 pack)
Coyote Clouser (3 pack)
Pack of 3:
Hook Size: #8 Firehole 811
In the 1980’s, Pennsylvanian, Bob Clouser, invented his famous Clouser minnow. It turns out, Mr. Clouser invented one of the most popular fly patterns of all time. Not only was the Clouser minnow a smallmouth-catching machine, but the pattern has caught many, many more types of fish including saltwater species.
This version is our own special East Texas variety. It is tied using coyote tail fur that has fantastic movement in the water. It works wonders on the local black bass populations, as well as the white bass. This fly was tied with the small-stream angler in mind. It is great for small to medium sized rivers. Use a 3-wt or 4-wt rod to chuck the Coyote Clouser.
*Note: Because this fly is tied with natural coyote tail fibers, this fly is not as resistant to abrasion as synthetic fibers, like craft fur. With that being said, this fly will still hold up even after being thrashed by several hard-fighting bass.
